If you sign in with a magic link, we process your email address and the information needed for your account and session.
When you use community features, we may process profile information, submitted deals and images, comments, votes, and reports. When you submit a product URL, we may retrieve and store metadata from that page.
We use information to provide sign-in and account functions, publish and moderate community content, display community signals, and operate the service.
Published deals, comments, and public profile display names may be visible to other visitors. When an account is created, a display name may be derived from the part of your email address before @ and then shown publicly.
Deal Scout uses only functional cookies: cookies required for sign-in and sessions, plus a cookie that remembers your selected language. They are not used for advertising or analytics tracking.
When you follow a deal link to a retailer, we may record the destination URL and technical request information, such as your browser user agent, to measure outbound-link use. The click log is not associated with your account.
We use technical service providers for functions such as hosting, authentication, and storage. When you visit a retailer through a link, the retailer's own terms and privacy practices apply.
